Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly has shared her thoughts on how Beth Dutton’s story should end.
The fifth and final season of the series is in full swing, bringing the story of the Dutton family to a close. John Dutton is now no longer part of the cast after star Kevin Costner left the critically acclaimed series.
At the end of the show, Reilly shared her hopes for how her character Beth will emerge from the drama.

“I know the end of the show, I’ve known it for six years,” she told TVLine. “We all knew what the end was going to be. We’re going to shoot that this summer.”
She said Beth’s storyline remains a mystery, but she hopes she can find “peace” in the final episodes.
When asked if she thought that was possible given Beth’s dramatic nature, she said, “As possible as it is possible for any of us. Peace requires a little bit of exploration and surrender and letting go of old pain and hurt.”
“I really believe she can find that. Whether that’s possible or not, I don’t know. She’s a real warrior, isn’t she? Her purpose is to protect. Her purpose is to fight. But I would like to see that for her.”
Reilly added, “I wonder if happiness is even allowed. Over the course of the seasons, we’ve seen where it could exist. But she gets ripped out of it so quickly. Maybe there’s a future where she’s not ripped out of her happiness.”

Yellowstone may be coming to an end, but the prequel series 1923 is returning for a second season and Jennifer Carpenter is joining the cast.
The “Dexter” actor will star alongside series stars Harrison Ford and Dame Helen Mirren in the brand new role of Mamie Fossett.
The year 1923, like the year 1883, gives us further insight into the backstory of the Dutton family, with Star Wars icon Ford playing the ancestor of John Dutton III.
