Miami hosts cultural unity party for World Indigenous Peoples Day – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

Every year on August 9th is World Indigenous Peoples Day and Miami hosts a celebration to bring harmony to all of us. A holistic influencer brings magical feelings to the magical city. From red-hot performances to delicious food, the night promises unity.

The celebration of World Indigenous Peoples Day on August 9 is an atmosphere that everyone can experience.

Fabienne Claude, founder of Go Green Fashionista: “This is the time when we look at international culture and ourselves as a unity of living together. So it’s about loving the earth and at the same time just living a whole, vibrant day full of love and laughter.”

At Zey Zey in Miami, Fabienne Claude is leading the gradual, holistic standardization of the 305.

Fabienne Claude: “This is the eighth year. The eighth annual indigenous peoples event. It is a wisdom of world culture. There is fashion, music and art, in the midst of the union of all cultures. I always start this event with a prayer. So fun things, just the performances in general. There is fire dancing.”

Allison “Chi” Harrison: “When I dance, I connect with the energy of fire. It’s an energy of celebration of life, light and purification. So I just let that flow through me and listen to the fire.”

For the fire dancer “Chi” it is important to come together as a unit.

Allison “Chi” Harrison: “To be able to come together and have a whole event that is alive. I prefer to say alive rather than dedicated, but this is alive. It means a lot to me, to me it represents a big evolution in us.”

There will be food, natural fruit drinks, a kids area and a spa lounge.

Sharelle Hall: “Aya is a wellness collective, a holistic apothecary and apothecary spa here in Miami. So we have a lot of talent. We offer massage therapy, but not just any massage therapy, this one with raw shea butter from Africa. We also have traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture and we also offer head massages with Indian roots.”

The “Aya” healing experience is included in your $25 event ticket.

Sharelle Hall: “I’m always looking for people who look like me. I think this shows it. It underlines that these things actually exist in Miami. Miami is such a hodgepodge, such a melting pot of so many different cultures, and it’s wonderful to be a part of it.”
