The 42nd annual North-South 100 at Florence Speedway, sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, begins Thursday with two 25-lap semifinal races with a $6,000 purse. Saturday’s final is 100 laps with a $75,000 purse.

Bobby Pierce is the reigning champion of the event and is among 61 competitors registered for the clay court course in Kentucky.
