Team news: Jo Potter names team for match against Partick Thistle

JO POTTER has named her Rangers team for this afternoon’s ScottishPower Women’s Premier League match against Partick Thistle at Broadwood Stadium.


It is the Light Blues’ first home game of the new season and they will be looking to build on their impressive start to the season, which they achieved with an 11-0 win over Aberdeen on the opening day.

Victoria Esson retains her place between the sticks. Leah Eddie, Kathy Hill and captain Nicola Docherty are all back in the team. Laura Rafferty makes her first start for the club after spending 45 minutes on the bench last weekend.

Brogan Hay also joins the team after missing the opening game and is joined by Lizzie Arnot, Chelsea Cornet and Liv McLoughlin.

Katie Wilkinson retains her place after scoring four times on her debut and will be joined in the lineup by Rio Hardy.

On the Rangers substitutes bench this afternoon are Jenna Fife, Tessel Middag, Kirsty Howat, Mia McAulay, Eilidh Austin, Laura Berry, Kirsty Maclean and Jodi McLeary, who both return to the team after missing last weekend’s game, as well as Sophie Black, who made her debut for the club against the Dons.
