After a somewhat rainy start to the weekend with some sunshine as well as a few rain showers and thunderstorms, we repeat the forecast for the end of the weekend on Sunday.

Thanks to a slow-moving low pressure system, active weather will continue through the end of the weekend on Sunday. Expect largely the same, a little sunshine, a few showers and a few thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening. Highs, just a few degrees cooler, will rise to above 25 degrees on Sunday afternoon.

As the low pressure system moves east, the first half of next week will become drier. A mix of sunshine and clouds is expected on Monday, before mostly sunny weather is forecast for Tuesday. Highs will remain below average at the start of next week, topping out at 21 degrees. It will also be somewhat windy at the start of next week, with gusts of up to 32-40 km/h during the day.

During the first part of next week, we’ll watch the jet stream move through the region. This will bring cooler air from Canada and the below-average temperatures will return to the forecast. Expect highs around 21 degrees and lows around 10 degrees Monday night into Wednesday night. There are still a few days left to rest the air conditioning and open the windows.

It will stay dry until the end of the week, then warmer by the end of the week on Friday. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds until the end of the week, and highs will be back below 27 degrees on Friday.

The dry weather will continue into the start of next weekend. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds, temperatures will become even warmer and above average, moving towards the 30s next Saturday.
