Attack on Titan Fans are in for a big treat this year as the highly anticipated finale of the series will soon hit the big screen. The official website for Attack on Titan has announced a compilation film entitled Attack on Titan: THE FINAL ATTACKwhich combines the last two parts of the anime’s final season into a single cinematic experience. The film is scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on November 8, 2024.
This 145-minute film is a remastered version of the last season’s two hour-long episodes, featuring enhanced visuals and a 5.1-channel surround sound mix. Director Yuichiro Hayashi was excited about the film’s release, stressing that it was always his intention to make the finale a unified film. “Having the opportunity for everyone to see the film in the best possible environment – the theater – feels like I’ve realized a long-held dream,” Hayashi said.
The film will also feature the iconic theme song from Linked Horizon: “Two Thousand Years… Or Maybe… To You After Twenty Thousand Years…”, which originally accompanied the second part of Attack on Titan: The final season, final partStudio MAPPA, which animated the last season, will also produce the film, ensuring a high-quality visual experience.
