The Campus Kids Day promises hours of fun for young and old

DETROIT, MICH (WXYZ) — Families can mark their calendars for an exciting series of events at Campus Martius Park, taking place every third Sunday beginning June 16 and continuing through October 6.

From 11am to 3pm, visitors can enjoy a fantastic selection of themed entertainment and hands-on activities. They can immerse themselves in Sprout and Shout: A Go Green Gardening Adventure, delight in the Summer Fun Carnival, dance the night away at the Back to School Bash, revel in the Pumpkin Spice Fest and then finish off with Halloween thrills including Thriller (40th Anniversary), dance lessons and a spectacular scary movie.

The Campus Kids Day promises hours of fun for people of all ages.

Event schedule:
– August 18: Back to School Bash – Entertainment includes music by DJ Invisible, make-and-take bracelets, book raffle, lawn games and youth performers.
– September 15: Lil Pumpkin Patch – Offers craft and take-home projects including pumpkin decorating and fall crafts, cornfield inflatables, lawn games and more.
– October 6: Halloween Spooky Spectacular and Costume Contest – Featuring Thriller dance lessons (40th anniversary), a costume contest, face painting, clowns, spiders to make and take home, sandwich cookies and monster puppets made from paper bags, a pumpkin bounce house, lawn games and more.
