Vice President Francia Márquez invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, came in Colombia on Thursday during her first visit to the South American country to promote the mental health of young people and highlight ways to combat cyberbullying, The Mirror reported.
However, Vice President Márquez has now revealed an unexpected reason for her invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Her revelation could Buckingham Palaceas it is directly related to the controversial Netflix Documentary series.
In response to burning questions from the press about the motive for the invitation, the Vice President said: “I saw the Netflix series about her life and her story, and that moved me and motivated me to say that this woman deserves to come to our country and tell her story. Her exchange will undoubtedly be empowering for so many women in the world.”
The six-part Netflix documentaryTitled Harry and Meghan, which debuted in 2022, delves into the couple’s love story and the subsequent challenges that led to their decision to give up their HRH titles and build an independent life in California. The series, which claims to reveal the other side of their high-profile relationship, makes several surprising claims about the British Royal family.
In the fifth episode, Prince Harry claims that his brother, Prince William, lost his temper during the infamous Sandringham summit, where Harry was presented with five options for his future role within the royal family.
He opted for a “half in, half out” approach that would allow him and Meghan to pursue their own careers while continuing to support the queen, who was then his grandmother Elizabeth II, The Mirror reported.
