SZA has announced that she is taking a break from touring to “get her life together” after completing a final tour date in Montreal, Canada a day earlier.

The “Kill Bill” singer had previously completed her shows in London, Dublin and at the Glastonbury Festival before taking the stage at Lollapalooza 2024 in Chicago, USA, on August 2nd.

The Grammy Award winner took to social media on August 5 to update her fans on the news. The singer, born Solána Imani Rowe, wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Yesterday was my last show for a while. I’m finally getting my life together, thank God.”

In November 2024, SZA will tour again, with shows in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. Further information on whether she will perform has not yet been released.

The star had previously spoken about seeking therapy for her mental health issues. In October 2023, she told the Wall Street Journal that she accidentally called a life coach after initially believing it was a therapist.

“After three months of doing box breathing and not getting better, I called her completely livid and said, ‘I’m being institutionalized today, I need help!’ I said, ‘What form of therapy do you do? DBT (dialectical behavior therapy)?'” SZA told the outlet.

The singer continued, explaining, “She was like, ‘I don’t have any clinical form of therapy because I’m not a licensed therapist, honey. I thought you knew that.’ Turns out she wasn’t a licensed therapist. She was a f***ing life coach.”

Rowe also told the outlet that she deals with her anxiety during high-profile events. “Sometimes when I’m in those situations, it makes me even more anxious because I think, ‘Damn, they’re going to judge me for being a bitch, or being quiet, or looking rude,'” she said.

“It’s about everything. It’s not you, it’s me. I’m freaking out and I don’t know how to be different right now.”
