The Cincinnati Reds have placed Cy Young Award candidate Hunter Greene on the 15-day injured list. He is suffering from soreness in his right elbow. The transfer is retroactive to August 14.

Greene has played at an extremely high level for the Reds this season. He has helped keep Cincinnati somewhat in the race for a National League wild card, so this is a significant setback to their chances.
