The Premier League is the most demanding competition in the world, so the small details matter.

Today I think we tried really hard. We did, and that’s why we’re very unhappy, especially for our fans, but also for the players because they tried really hard. It was a shame.

It is true that last season we lost to one of the best teams in the Premier League, and perhaps this season too, but I think that despite everything, in many moments we equalised a very tough game. In other moments I think we also overcame them, but it is about the goals.

We suffered very early on when we conceded a goal from a set piece and we definitely need to improve that, all these things because these little details are crucial. They allow you to take advantage of a lot of good work and after we levelled the game I think we finished the first half better than they did, in my opinion, and the start of the second half as well. But when you don’t score, of course the game changes.

They have a very good team and in the end, even though they scored the second goal, we had two clear chances to score but we didn’t score. We conceded two goals and only scored one, so we lost. We are very disappointed and we need to hold on to the good things we showed and did and improve the bad things to be more competitive.
