The Red Arrows then fly from Stornoway Airport to Greenland and then begin their journey across the Labrador Sea in the North Atlantic to Canada.

Before the Red Arrows land at the Canadian military base Greenwood, they make a stopover in Goose Bay, Canada.

The team will conduct a series of flybys in locations such as Toronto, Montreal and Niagara Falls as part of the celebrations.

Wing Commander Adam Collins said: “We look forward to meeting countless people, performing our new Diamond Season show and creating many memories and great moments at air shows and events.”

Earlier this week the team flew over Wallingford en route to the Eastbourne International Airshow on Thursday.

The Red Arrows team was founded in 1965 at RAF Fairford base in Gloucestershire.

Since its founding, the team has performed in 57 countries, including the United States, China and India.
