Super Saturday summer day with lots of sunshine and football

JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – Today is forecast to be a very pleasant Saturday with no rain and high humidity. Be sure to plan some time outside!

Saturday started out above 18 degrees and a little hazy for some people in our area. We’ll see those lovely morning temperatures reach above 25 degrees on the coast and low to mid 35 degrees for others. Lots of sunshine under mostly clear skies and a light breeze will round out the day. The heat index will stay below a feels like 35 degrees.

It’s a beautiful day for a beach visit. However, there is a high risk of rip currents and the water is choppy as Hurricane Ernesto made landfall in Bermuda at 5:00 am as a strong Category 1 hurricane. Be extra cautious in the water, even strong swimmers are advised to be cautious. Stay near a lifeguard and enjoy your time in the sun and sand! Also bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

If you’re heading to the game tonight, no need to pack a poncho! The weather couldn’t be better for the Jags’ final home game against the Buccs tonight at 7:30 p.m. A light breeze will fill Everbank Stadium, making this one of the nicest evenings of the entire month.

Rain will return after midday on Sunday, with isolated to heavy thunderstorms possible through dinnertime. Temperatures will warm up as moisture returns to the region from the north and west.
