Yay, the weekend is here again, and that means it’s time to slip into our comfiest slippers and play a little.

Looking back on this week, the most interesting news (well, “interesting” in the sense of “oh god, when will this end”) was that Switch 2 probably won’t launch until after the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2025. This seems pretty obvious when you think about it, but it’s still notable if you’re someone who literally counts down the days.

Elsewhere, a man from Saudi Arabia broke a Guinness World Record by hooking up over 400 working consoles to a TV – seriously crazy stuff. It’s also been confirmed that there will be new game announcements at Gamesom Opening Night Live, as hoped. We don’t know if this will be relevant to Switch, but we’ll be keeping an eye out nonetheless.

There was also sadder news when we learned that the extremely talented Rachael Lillis, who voiced Misty, Jessie, Jigglypuff and others in Pokemon Anime has sadly passed away. The Pokémon community paid their last respects to Lillis with several tributes on social media.
