If you love shows about people saving lives in a particular American state, you’re in luck – Fox has two of them. In addition to 9-1-1: Lone Starthat remains on Fox, despite 9-1-1moves to ABC, Fox debuts Rescue: HI-Surfa new drama about lifeguards patrolling high tides on O’ahu’s North Shore, a notoriously dangerous stretch of coastline. Even better, Fox’s fall 2024 television schedule will air the two shows back-to-back every Monday night starting September 23. (Rescue: HI-Surf will have a special NFL-sponsored series premiere the day before. Fox has also announced that a special episode of Rescue: HI-Surf will air after Super Bowl LIX, riding the wave of the biggest television audience of the year.) Look forward to the inevitable crossover.

Overall, Fox’s fall 2024 schedule is a mix of old and new. A couple of well-known dramas – 9-1-1: Lone Star And Accused — are on the calendar, alongside recurring comedies The Simpsons, Bob’s BurgersAnd KrapopolisBut a number of favourites are being kept for the mid-season – including The cleaning lady, Family man, Animal controlAnd MasterChef – and leaves room for the premiere of new shows in the fall.

In addition to Rescue: HI-SurfFox debuts the new drama Murder in a small town (Tuesday, September 24), a crime thriller (you’ll never guess where this leads) about a former big-city cop who moves to a seemingly idyllic small town that’s full of secrets, based on LR Wright’s series of novels by Karl Alberg. New medical drama document will premiere mid-season.

As for the comedy, Universal Basic Boys will join the channel’s Sunday night animation schedule starting Sunday, September 8. The comedy about brothers who lose their jobs due to automation and receive money as part of a new universal basic income program was renewed for a second season before its premiere. Mid-season, the series, directed by Denis Leary, will Becoming Dutch will make his debut.

A new season of Special Forces: The toughest test in the world was originally announced as a fall premiere, but in mid-July, Fox announced that the reality series will air in 2025 and will be replaced in the schedule by a new season of Crime scene kitchen.
