Groundbreaking for the Marshall County Career Innovation Center

Groundbreaking for the Marshall County Career Innovation Center

New courses will soon be available for high school students and adults in Marshall County.

This is all part of a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Marshall County Career Innovation Center that took place Friday.

The new facility will provide technical and adult education opportunities.

The center offers students the opportunity to learn about different career paths after graduation and facilitates their access to these courses.

Two new buildings will be part of the innovation center, with part of Plymouth High School currently being renovated.

There are numerous career opportunities available, from manufacturing to hospitality, criminal justice, emergency services, fire and rescue.

The center shortens the commute for people in Marshall County who want to improve their skills, and this would not be possible without the help of several local donors.

“A positive impact on Marshall County and the region. Through this project, we’re going to increase the capacity of our CTE programs and adult education programs. Um, we have the programs and we had them, we just needed the space. Um, so this will give us the space to make things happen,” said Allie Shook.

Completion of the project is planned for early next year.

In addition to classes for high school students during school hours, evening classes for adults are also offered.
