Devin McCourty hints that Tom Brady will call the Patriots’ game against the Dolphins in Week 5

It looks like the GOAT will be returning to Foxboro early next season for a chance to commentate on a New England Patriots game.

While nothing is official yet, former Patriots safety Devin McCourty revealed some insightful information while covering New England’s second preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night.

According to McCourty, Brady could return to New England as part of the FOX broadcast team when the Patriots face the Miami Dolphins in Week 5:

While we know Brady will make his commentating debut in Week 1 when the Dallas Cowboys travel to the Cleveland Browns, the verdict beyond that is still pretty out. However, according to McCourty’s recent revelation, another gap in the former Patriots QB’s commentating schedule could be filled for the upcoming season.

For the first time since his retirement from the NFL, Brady will sit on the bench as a commentator and will join Kevin Burkhardt in commentating on some of the league’s most important games week after week.

Considering the Patriots don’t have the best prospects for the 2024 season, it’s safe to assume FOX wanted to send their A-team with Brady to New England before their record for this year gets out of hand. An early divisional battle against the Dolphins is a familiar contest for the former Patriots QB to commentate on and can hopefully bring some extra luck to what is shaping up to be a tough opponent on the horizon.

Expect a memorable call when the Dolphins come to town on October 6 at 1 p.m. ET.
