Kentucky Department of Agriculture provides emissions funding to Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky (WBKO) – The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDOA) announced Friday that new funding would be made available to several counties across the state.

According to the press release, the department’s board approved just over $390,000 in funding during its monthly board meeting.

Agriculture Commissioner Johnathan Shell recognised the importance of providing funding to the Commonwealth.

“The future of agriculture depends on the actions we take today,” Shell said. “The grants approved by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board pave the way for growth and innovation.”

The County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP) provides financial assistance to Kentucky farmers to modernize their farms.

In total, four CAIPs were approved by the Board, including funding for Warren County.

  • Warren County: $6,399
  • Trigg County: $66,500
  • Laurel County: $157,500
  • Washington County: $60,250

Additional funding was provided through the Livestock Disposal, Shared Equipment and Youth Farming Incentives programmes.
