Kate Hudson shares great snaps from “Family Ranch Day” with daughter Rani

Kate Hudson is the ultimate cowgirl.

On Friday, August 16, the 45-year-old actress shared several sweet snaps on Instagram from her day spent with her family at a ranch in Whitefish, Montana. The “Talk About Love” singer, her daughter Rani Rose, 5, and her mother Goldie Hawn are seen wearing cowboy hats, cowboy boots and jeans, holding up lassos and riding horses.

In the first photo, Rani, who Hudson shares with her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, poses in a bright blue cowboy hat and swings an orange lasso.

In another photo, Grandma Hawn sits smiling at a picnic table with her granddaughters Rani and Oliver Hudson’s 9-year-old daughter Rio Laura. As the cute carousel continues to roll, the mother of three shows more cowboy chronicles of the Hudson family as they saddle up and ride together.

“Perfect family day at the ranch ⛰️🤍,” the proud mother writes in her caption, adding, “Oh, and I lost the egg race…”

Oliver’s wife Erinn and Wyatt Russell’s wife Meredith Hagner were also part of the day at the ranch in Montana.

Kate is also mother to 20-year-old son Ryder Russell Robinson, whom she has with her ex Chris Robinson, and 13-year-old son Bingham “Bing” Hawn, whom she has with her ex Matt Bellamy.

When I spoke to PEOPLE earlier this summer, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Crime Thriller The actress spoke about her relationship with Ryder, noting that the two share a real friendship now that their son is older.

Hudson said she will always be his mother. “But I guess I was young when I had him, so it’s a different relationship than with my other children. He’s been with me through all my good times and bad, with this friend, not that one.”

“He’s been with me through everything. And that’s very different because I’ve never really had an adult life without him,” she noted of Ryder, who inspired the song “Live Forever” from Hudson’s album. “So he’s a little bit, I think, more protective, which is to say, I think he’s very protective of me. And I think my other kids will be too, because we’ve been through so much together.”

“I mean, he was really my partner in crime and I never went anywhere without him,” she told PEOPLE. “So it’s very, very close. And I think, yes, he is protective.”
