“Lucky for Life” winner: Lottery player from Massachusetts wins ,000 annually for life

A Massachusetts lottery player won $25,000 for life in the state-wide “Lucky for Life” drawing on Thursday.

The winning numbers in the Lucky for Life drawing were 3, 7, 19, 24, 38 and Lucky Ball: 11. The winning ticket, sold in Massachusetts, matched all five initial numbers and won $25,000 annually for life.

The ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store in North Weymouth.

Lucky for Life drawings are held daily at 10:38 p.m. and tickets cost $2. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 48 and one number from 1 to 18. Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.

Also claimed Thursday were a $15 million top prize and a $1 million cash prize. The $15 million ticket was sold in Lynn at a store called One Stop Mart, and the $1 million ticket came from a ticket sold in Chicopee at a Pride Station & Store.

In total, at least 521 prizes valued at $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday, including 14 in Springfield, 17 in Worcester and 49 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a complete list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets valued at over $600.

The highest lottery win ever in Massachusetts was $1 million a year for life this year.

The prize came from the lottery’s Lifetime Millions scratch-off game. The winner claimed his prize through a trust on July 10 and opted for a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
