Genetec Security Center 5.12 added to the list of FIPS 201 approved products
Genetec Inc., a provider of unified security, public safety, operations and business intelligence solutions, announced that Security Center 5.12 is now FIPS 201 compliant and approved by the Federal Identity Credential and Access Management (FICAM) conformance program.
This certification gives agencies confidence that Genetec software meets stringent federal security standards, ensuring only authorized individuals have access to confidential data and facilities.
This certification expands the list of supported FICAM access control hardware within Security Center Synergis™. The Genetec access control platform is now certified and offers an end-to-end FICAM compliant solution with HID pivCLASS readers, HID Signo readers, Veridt readers, and integrated locks and server cabinet locks from Assa Abloy.
FIPS 201 certified products undergo rigorous testing to ensure fewer vulnerabilities and robust security features, ensuring government organizations’ confidential data is protected.
In a market often constrained by proprietary systems, Synergis stands out by offering multiple open architecture systems that efficiently validate Personal Identity Verification (PIV and PIV-I) credentials for federal employees and contractors.
