Several well-known insiders confirmed that Microsoft will make the announcement during Gamescom 2024 next week, but there has been some debate about which title will be ported next.

Could Microsoft Flight Simulator be the next Xbox console to be released exclusively on PS5?

At least two well-known insiders, including Tom Henderson, claimed they had heard rumors that Forza Horizon 5 would be on its way to the PS5. However, Tom Warren of The Verge and Jez Corden of Windows Central denied this. Starfield was another name that was floating around, but all insiders unanimously dismissed these claims.

Which brings us to good old Reddit. A user pointed out today that Discord member Gestridens made a series of claims about Xbox games landing on the PS5 in January 2024. almost all which turned out to be true. These claims were made at a time when even journalists were dismissing suggestions that Microsoft might move to multiple platforms, so that’s saying something.

According to the leaker, Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the games coming to the PS5. This may not be the “big” title that gamers were expecting, but it is one of Microsoft’s biggest franchises, and the latest release is receiving unanimous praise.
