First hints for LoL patch 14.17: AP jungle nerfs and more

Patch 14.17 is coming to League of Legends very soon, and so we learn all about the changes Riot has planned for the MOBA. Here are the first patch notes for League of Legends Patch 14.17.

In two weeks, there will be a new patch for Riot Games’ popular MOBA. Patch 14.17 in League of Legends is expected to make new changes to the MOBA, especially in balancing the game’s roster.

With over 160 champions, unique items, passive abilities, roles, matchups, and more, it’s a huge challenge for the developers.

The new patch aims to weaken some of the underdog champions who have benefited a little too much from some of the newer items.

When does League Patch 14.17 go live?

League of Legends Patch 14.17 is expected to go live on 28 August 2024, according to Riot’s patch schedule. Patch 14.17 will be sent to the Oceanic servers first, with other servers gradually receiving it throughout the day.

Here are the key timing details for Patch 14.17 for your server:

  • 3am PT (NA)
  • 5am ​​GMT (EUW)
  • 3 a.m. CET (EUNE)
  • 8am KST (Korea)

When patching begins, there will be a few hours of downtime and matchmaking queues will be taken offline approximately three hours beforehand.

Burn junglers like Brand and Lillia are still too strong, even after several nerfs.

Champions like Brand and Lillia have benefited massively from the introduction of the Fated Ashes item and its legendary version, Blackfire Torch. This item has massively improved their speed and damage and caused them to be nerfed several times. The developers have delivered another blow in patch 14.17.

It’s still very early for the new patch in League of Legends and the developers are probably planning many more changes to the MOBA.
