“Events like the MAMMOTH Music & Arts Festival are a great way to showcase our region’s artistic talent and are only possible through strong partnerships with local businesses, artists and community organizers,” said Julie Kirkpatrick, President and CEO of meetNKY. “Our region’s rich arts scene is a big reason we’ve been able to offer experiences like BLINK and attract interest from world-renowned events like the Sundance Film Festival.”

Join us for performances by musicians and friends from the scene, with “Handsome” Clem Carpenter as your emcee, and live sets from: The Tigerlilies, The Idle Aires, Spiderhand, The Ric Hickey Trio, Pedro-X and DJ Grover Smith spinning records!

Festival goers will also get a preview of Aurore Press’ upcoming book, It’s a Freakshow Ace!: Punk Flyer Art for the Legendary Jockey Club 1982-1988 by Kelli Evans. This book is a comprehensive collection of punk flyer art from the legendary Jockey Club and a celebration of the club’s pivotal role in shaping the Midwest punk scene. The compilation features over 370 bands that graced the Jockey Club stage and includes original paste-ups, tickets, calendars, concert photos, local zine ads, and more.

The MAMMOTH Music and Arts Festival is a free public event made possible by the generous support of area businesses and individuals. “I chose to participate as a stage sponsor because I am proud to be part of the community here in Newport! This festival brings together local residents and people from across the region to provide fun and entertainment for the whole family. An event like this will bring attention to all that Newport has to offer and benefit the entire community,” comments Jennifer Leibel of Hummel and Leible Insurance.
