Washington County Junior Fair Announces Royal Court | News, Sports, Jobs

MARIETTA – The 2024 Washington County Junior Fair has announced its 2024 license fees.

The competition was held Monday by OSU Extension at First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, where 11 candidates participated in individual interviews with two judges and a public speaking event.

Five of them were selected for the court to serve at the Washington County, Waterford Community and Barlow Independent fairs.

They were:

* Queen Taylor Starkey, Bullseye 4-H Shooting Sports Club and Waterford FFA. She is the daughter of Joseph and Katie Starkey of Waterford and a senior at Waterford High School.

* Princess Christy Willis, Salem Liberty Homemakers and Lower Salem Boys 4-H Club and Fort Frye FFA. The daughter of Scott and Jeanann Willis, she attends Fort Frye High School where she is a junior.

* Junior Princess Leia Barnett, Palmer Lads and Lassies 4-H Club and Waterford FFA. She is the daughter of Samantha Tornes of Stockport and attends Waterford High School.

* Prince Maddox Antill, Running Wild 4-H Club. The son of Rusty and Missy Antill of Beverly. Antill will be a ninth-grader at Waterford High School.

* Dairy Princess Alexis Smith, Backyard Gang 4-H Club and Marietta FFA. She is the daughter of Johnna Hartline and Brandon Smith. Smith attends Marietta High School where she is in the 10th grade.
