Devin McCourty may have leaked Tom Brady’s Patriots broadcast debut

Tom Brady is ready to begin his next football chapter and prepares for his first season as a sportscaster for FOX Sports.

He will join the No. 1 team alongside Kevin Burkhardt in a season in which FOX will broadcast Super Bowl LIX.

Brady’s calendar already has many dates for the first series of tasks for the upcoming NFL season. What is still unclear is when (and if) Brady will broadcast a game of his old team, the New England Patriots, this season.

His old teammate may have just leaked this potential surprise.

“He’ll be back here at some point,” Devin McCourty said Thursday during the Patriots’ preseason broadcast against the Philadelphia Eagles. “I think it’s Week 5.”

This is also not yet confirmed, but McCourty knows something we don’t?

McCourty currently handles NBC’s pregame coverage of Sunday Night Football while Brady makes his debut at FOX. At least that’s a quote to keep in mind.

Last Sunday, ESPN’s Mike Reiss also speculated that it might make sense for Brady to sit in the locker room for a Patriots game in Week 5. New England hosts Miami at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. ET.
