A 21-year-old man faces a slew of charges, including murder, for shooting a 13-year-old boy as he walked home from a basketball game at the Barclays Center on February 29, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

Jared (Jah Woo) McCauley of Brooklyn was arraigned Wednesday on a 13-count indictment charging him with second-degree murder, second-degree illegal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment in connection with the death of Troy Gill. Sheik Koureichi, also 21 and of Brooklyn, was arraigned on the same charge on July 29. Both defendants were remanded in custody and are due in court on Friday.

Gill was hit four times around 10:30 p.m. while walking home from a Nets game near the Brooklyn Children’s Museum in Crown Heights, in the area of Bergen Street and New York Avenue. He lived about two blocks from the crime scene.

Gill was allegedly shot by McCauley and Koureichi in a passing car. Prosecutors said he called his mother to tell her he had been shot.

After being shot, he ran down Bergen Street to Brooklyn Avenue, where he eventually collapsed between Bergen Street and St. Marks Avenue, according to police. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he died.

According to police, Gill was shot in the chest, back and twice in the right arm.

The district attorney further said that shortly before 11 p.m., McCauley and Koureichi drove to East New York in a white Jeep, where they allegedly shot at the front door of a rival gang member who was allegedly a member of the Drench street gang.

McCauley and Koureichi were reportedly searching for rival gang members when they shot the boy. Both shootings that night were in retaliation for the kidnapping and beating of McCauley, a rapper associated with the Woo gang, earlier that day, according to the district attorney.

McCauley was allegedly lured to the Bronx, forced into a car, beaten, stripped and then forced out of the car, the district attorney said. The incident was recorded and posted on social media.

“As alleged, these defendants committed a revenge-fueled crime that took the life of a young boy,” said District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. “This type of senseless retaliatory gang violence takes too many lives, including children, and my office, along with the NYPD, is focused on solving each of these shootings and holding those who committed them accountable. I commend everyone who worked on this complex investigation and hope today’s indictment will bring some relief to Troy’s loved ones.”
