The U.S. men’s basketball team almost got eliminated earlier than anyone expected on Thursday afternoon.
The Americans faced Serbia and trailed by as many as 17 points in the first three quarters. They were down by double digits in the fourth quarter when Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant decided they couldn’t let Team USA down. The three future Hall of Famers, along with Joel Embiid, put in an incredible 10 minutes to save themselves from elimination and secure a spot in the gold medal game against France.
The entire sports world watched the 95-91 victory with bated breath and reacted with overwhelming reactions.
