Downtown Sulphur Springs, Texas offers countless shops and restaurants for visitors to enjoy when visiting. We stopped at Millhollin on our “town stroll” this month. Millhollin is located at 222 Main Street and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is a unique shop that has been beautifully curated and offers a diverse range of products.

The current owner, Charity Pepys, loves her store’s customer service and finding items that pique the interest of visitors. Her store is more about creating an experience when people come in and feel like they have stepped out of Sulphur Springs and into town or onto the boardwalk of an east coast beach town. Each item offered at Millhollin is unique and original, adding meaning to the store and the customers who purchase the items.

The majority of the items available are clothing and are part of the “timeless capsule wardrobe”. These are items that people need for everyday life and can be easily combined to complement what customers already have in their wardrobes. In addition to unique gift items and household items that are both beautiful and functional, there are cosmetics, jewelry, gifts and much more.

Many of the items in the store have meaning outside of their product line as well. Several businesses donate to charities that are dear to the current owners while still offering quality products. Serving the community and supporting charities is at the heart of their business. With her family running a retail store in a small community and having studied retail design, all of her skills have contributed to Millhollin’s success.

One of my favorite features of Millhollin is the windows. The windows are always decorated to match the season. They reflect the store items and the season so well that I love stopping by and seeing what’s new in the window. If you haven’t been inside or seen the windows yet, you should definitely stop by and check it out.

We’re sure you’ll find something for a loved one, teacher, spouse or friend. Each season brings something new, so check back often to find your next great gift. A cookbook, a candle or a new pair of jeans that you might add to your wardrobe in the future.
