Jeremy Clarkson tries to reassure high school graduates with an annual tweet in which he tells how well his life has turned out despite his bad grades.
The presenter used his 2024 message to promote the opening of his pub at the Windmill in Asthall, Oxfordshire, on the back of his Amazon TV series Clarkson’s Farm.
Clarkson achieved only C and U grades in his A-level exams (leading to obvious jokes online about missing letters) and has tweeted about his subsequent success on the day the results were announced for ten years.
“Don’t worry if your A-level results don’t match your expectations,” he wrote on Thursday.
Don’t worry if your A-level results aren’t what you expected. I got a C and two U’s and here I am, 46 years later, with my own pub.
It opens next weekend if you feel like stopping by.

“I got a C and two Us, and here I am, 46 years later, with my own pub.
“It opens next weekend if you feel like stopping by.”
The former presenter of “Top Gear” has become synonymous with the day of the school exams and has been tweeting every year since 2014.
He has boasted ever since:
Jeremy Clarkson has been tweeting on A-Level results day since 2014.

He starts out modestly and brags about his Mercedes.
2015
Anyone who failed their A-levels would surely feel better thinking about Clarkson relaxing in St. Tropez.
If your A-levels aren’t great, you’ll be happy to know that I got a C and two U’s. And I’m currently sitting in a villa in St. Tropez.

Anyone want to imagine Clarkson on a superyacht?
Don’t worry if your A Level results are disappointing, I got a C and two Us and am currently on a superyacht in the Mediterranean.

Depending on whether he went for the £6 per gram option or the Tesco variety, this could be Clarkson’s biggest boast yet – and he mentions his chef in the process.
If you didn’t get the right A Level results, don’t worry, I got a C and 2 Us and my chef makes truffles for breakfast.

His school grades clearly show his inability to make decisions.
Don’t worry if your A-level grades aren’t good. I’ve got a C and 2 Us. And I’m sitting here wondering which of my Range Rovers I’m going to use today

To make things better for all of us: He’s just renting it.

Perhaps Clarkson was not satisfied with his French villa and began building his Cotswold empire during the pandemic.
A-level results not so great? Don’t worry, I have a C and 2 Us and am currently building a large house with far-reaching views of the Cotswolds

It should perhaps be noted that you don’t always need a Bentley (or any kind of wealth) to make friends.
If the teachers didn’t give you the A Level results you were hoping for, don’t worry. I got a C and 2Us and I’m happy, have lots of friends and a Bentley.

It is unclear if this is the same yacht as the one mentioned previously, but it certainly looks quite luxurious.
2023
Clarkson continues the Cotswolds heritage and mentions his own brewery here.
It’s not the end of the world if your A-level results don’t match your expectations. I got a C and two U’s and here I am today with my own brewery.
