Here are the finalists for the 2024 Dayton Literary Peace Prizes. ‹ Literary Hub

The Dayton Literary Peace Prize, which “honors authors whose work demonstrates the power of the written word to promote peace,” today announced the finalists for the 2024 book prize. Winners in each category will receive a cash prize of $10,000, and runners-up will receive $5,000.

The finalists for fiction 2024 are:

Janika Oza, A history of burning (Grand Central Publishing)
Nguyen Phan Quế Mai, Dust Child (Algonquin Books)
Paul Lynch, Song of the Prophet (Grove Atlantic)
Eleanor Shearer, River, sing me home (Berkley)
Anne Berest, trans. Tina Kover, The postcard (Europa Editions)
Erum Shazia Hasan, We meant well (ECW Press)

The finalists in the non-fiction category 2024 are:

Edmund Raymond with Jon Sternfeld, An inconvenient policeman (Vikings)
Victor Luckerson, Built from fire (Random House)
Dana Sachs, Everything else has failed (Literature Publishers Bellevue)
Tania Branigan, Red memory (Faber)
Darrin Bell, The conversation (Henry Holt)
Dina Nayeri, Who is believed? by (Catapult)

The winners and the Richard C. Holbrooke Distinguished Achievement Award will be announced in September.
