GILES COUNTY, TN (WTVF) — More than 100 people from the Giles County community came together to search for an 82-year-old woman who has been missing since Tuesday.

On Wednesday, community members searched for Caulyne Cross near creeks, rivers and steep terrain near Pulaski. Investigators say the 82-year-old was last seen at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was wearing a pink pajama top and red pants.

She suffers from an illness that may make it difficult for her to return home safely.

Crews have worked tirelessly throughout the night and search operations are scheduled to continue this morning.

Police say the public’s involvement is crucial in bringing her home. They are asking anyone with information that could help in the search for her to contact the Giles County Sheriff’s Office.

They say even the smallest clue could make a huge difference in finding her.

She is over 80 and almost blind. Woman from Franklin continues to crochet for those in need

“Here’s a great story that proves that everyone has something to give, regardless of age OR personal challenges. Our Austin Pollack introduces us to Ms. Sylvia Mooney. At 80 years old, she is not sitting still. Instead, she is using her skills to create compassion for others… one stitch at a time. Her crochet work goes to nonprofits to help our homeless neighbors. You might be surprised to know that she manages to do all of this while battling a serious health issue. Bravo Sylvia!”
