Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has confirmed the birth of his first child with partner Erin Darke.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news that they have become first-time parents to media outlet Digital Spy. Further details about the baby have yet to be announced.

Only last month the news came that the couple are expecting their first child togetherRadcliffe and Darke have been together for 10 years since the duo met on the set of Kill Your Darlings, a biopic about the Beat Generation.

Radcliffe is not the first Harry Potter star to have a child as Rupert Grint aka Ron Weasley was happy about his first child with his partner, actress Georgia Groome back in 2020.

Grint confirmed the name of his little daughter with a sweet Instagram Post, which he captioned, “Hey Instagram… only 10 years late but here I am. Grint on Instagram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint.”

Radcliffe admitted at the time that he found it “super weird” that Grint welcomed his baby on Wednesday because it reminded him of how old he is. He said: “It’s super weird for me too, thinking that we’re all at the age where we have kids, but we definitely are.”

Meanwhile, Grint recently spoke about his time filming the film series and revealed that he found it increasingly difficult to break away from his role: “In the end, I was playing myself. The boundaries were blurred. I respond when someone calls me Ron. That’s my middle name.”
