Devin Williams is money, folks. The Milwaukee Brewers reliever earned his second save of the season in spectacular fashion on Wednesday night, shutting out the Los Angeles Dodgers’ version of Murder series to end the game and secure a 5-4 victory for his team.
Williams was called to the mound with the Brewers leading by just one run early in the ninth inning against the Dodgers. It was no easy task for Williams, especially since the next three batters he faced were Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman – players who have four MVPs between them.
But Williams didn’t care about these MVPs. He brought in Ohtani with a flyout, struck out Betts and finally provoked a groundout from Freeman.

That was quite a feat from Williams, who is less than a month away from making his debut in the 2024 MLB season. Williams was activated from the 60-day injured list in late July last year after suffering a stress fracture in his back.
