I am extremely excited and delighted to announce the release of my latest book, Quantum Races: Lessons from the Finish Line, published under the pseudonym BC Guy. This thrilling anthology of thirteen short stories seamlessly combines the adrenaline-fueled world of cars with imaginative science fiction scenarios, promising readers a unique and exciting experience.
In my career spanning over 35 years, I have brought my extensive automotive expertise and passion for science fiction and storytelling to this collection. Each story takes readers on a journey through diverse and fantastical landscapes, from the canyons of Mars to the skyscrapers of dystopian cities, offering a new perspective on the future of humanity and the impact of technology.
Quantum Races: Lessons from the Finish Line explores themes of ambition, survival, technological advancements, and moral dilemmas through compelling narratives and likable characters. The anthology includes stories such as:
· Stang Struck: When cars are banned and relegated to museums, an enforcer is seduced by a Mustang and a new renegade street fighter emerges. Imagine Fast & Furious in the world of The Demolition Man.
· The Flight of the Red Bird: An intergalactic bounty hunter has his sights set on Earth’s most famous and successful racing driver, who is not what he seems.
· The Marineris Hotel: A visionary entrepreneur literally reaches beyond the stars to create what everyone thought was impossible: a luxury resort on Mars. But is the mental anguish of his ambition too great to bear? It’s like The Martian meets The Shining.
· Camelball Run: An Arab sheikh attempts to recreate a legendary race in the Middle East – this story is inspired by the original “Cannonball Run”.
· The Miracle Reporter: What if superheroes stayed in the background, righted wrongs, saved lives, but never revealed their identity?
· Alien Invasion – Target Burj: This story combines elements from Independence Day and Gulliver’s Travels. Since Dubai is expecting an alien attack, the scale of the operation is somehow underestimated.
· The Secret Life of Muslims: A story that is very personal to the author and extremely relevant to current events. It takes a look at what really goes on in the minds of Muslims and the tragic fate that awaits them.
