The Texas Rangers’ stadium has hit a home run for animals—and PETA has taken notice. The organization just named Globe Life Field one of the most vegan-friendly baseball stadiums in North America, thanks to an animal-friendly menu that includes the standout PLT sandwich—a grilled portabella mushroom with a balsamic glaze, topped with lettuce, tomato slices, and a thick layer of vegan mayonnaise on freshly baked bread—from the stadium’s Visiting Vegan booth.

Other options from Visiting Vegan include classic stadium fare such as meatless burgers, hot dogs and nuggets, as well as a large plate of vegan nachos with dairy-free cheese. Additionally, Rangers fans looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can indulge in the stadium’s Oatly stand, which serves premium creamy vegan soft serve ice cream.

“From an artisanal portabella sandwich to delicious dairy-free ice cream, Globe Life Field’s offerings will leave Rangers fans wanting more,” said PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “All of the stadiums on PETA’s list are hit it out of the park with food that leaves the animals alone – and not cut into pieces.”

Other top baseball stadiums recognized by PETA include the Atlanta Braves’ Truist Park, the Colorado Rockies’ Coors Field, the Chicago White Sox’ Guaranteed Rate Field, the New York Mets’ Citi Field, the New York Yankees’ Yankee Stadium, the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, the San Francisco Giants’ Oracle Park, the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park, the Toronto Blue Jays’ Rogers Centre, and the Washington Nationals’ Nationals Park.

Every person who goes vegan saves nearly 200 animals from daily suffering and a terrible death each year and reduces their own risk of heart disease and cancer. PETA’s free vegan starter kit can help anyone who wants to make the switch.

PETA—whose motto includes, “Animals are not meant to be eaten”—points out that every animal is someone and offers free empathy kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, visit PETA.org or follow the group on X, on facebook.or Instagram.
