War, what is it good for? Not much, but that doesn’t stop Middle Earth from having one in the final trailer for the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

War, what is it good for? Not much, but that doesn’t stop Middle Earth from having one in the final trailer for the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Nobody likes war, but unfortunately in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power there is little that can stop it.

It’s been a few years since the first season of The Rings of Power aired, but now we’re only a few weeks away from season two. Ahead of the latest season, Amazon has released the final trailer, which shows a war brewing across Middle Earth. It looks like this season will feature some pretty big scenes, with armies of Orcs and the like battling each other on massive battlefields – you know, the usual Lord of the Rings stuff! This particular season covers a major battle in the series, the Siege of Eregion, and let’s just say it won’t be an easy battle.

Besides all the big war stuff, there’s also Celebrimbor trying to come to terms with what he’s done, particularly how he’s helping Sauron with his plans. Of course, Sauron is seen strolling around plotting his plans, and he looks just as normal as he does in every trailer. Fan favorite Tom Bombail was nowhere to be seen, but he’s supposed to show up at some point, so you can look forward to that too. All in all, it looks like you’re going to have a pretty good time!

The first season of Rings of Power had one of the biggest budgets for a series ever, totaling around $465 million, or nearly $60 million per episode. It’s not clear if season 2 will make as much, but it certainly looks like a lot of money was pumped into it regardless. The first season also received generally positive reviews, so let’s see if season 2 can keep that up.

Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be released on Prime Video on August 29th with a premiere of three episodes, after which the season will be released weekly.
