Naomi Campbell gives a rare insight into her life as a mother.

The 54-year-old supermodel graces the cover of Harper’s BAZAAR Icons’ September 2024 issue and talks about her two children, whom she calls her “greatest blessing,” in an accompanying interview. Campbell announced that she is expecting a daughter in May 2021 and a son in June 2023.

“It’s the greatest joy,” she told the outlet, of being a mother. “The greatest blessing is having these two innocent, beautiful souls and being able to be their mother. I learn a lot every day. They are good kids.”

She went on to talk about how having children has affected her travel: “There’s no way I’m going to take them from New York to London for a two-day shoot. That’s too much, but my kids love to travel.”

“You must have known!” she added, laughing.

Back in June, Campbell confirmed in an interview with The times that she had both children through surrogacy.

Campbell also spoke in the story about the “fear” she has of the future.

“My babies mean everything to me. I’m scared of the future,” she said. “I hope for a better world for my children. They are 110 percent my priority. I have to be there for them on their first day of school.”

She added that she is happy being a “single mother” and said she is tired of “young girls” saying they don’t want to have children or it is “too expensive”.

The English model told the outlet: “I said, ‘You’re going to change your mind. You’re going to want to be a mother.’ I understand it’s hard financially. But my mother had nothing and she made it happen. It’s worth it. It’s so incredible.”
