Live with Kelly and MarkKelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are back on our television screens, but they are not reporting live from the studio.

After more than a week as guest host alongside Consuelos on the ABC morning show – including Live‘s announcers Deja Vu, Jane Krakowski, Maria Menounos and Jenny Mollen – Ripa returned on Tuesday morning’s (August 13) episode, in which she and Consuelos continued their silly, steamy on-air banter.

Ripa was honored as a Disney Legend on Sunday (August 11), officially receiving the prestigious title at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, Calif. Consuelos mentioned Ripa’s award ceremony on Friday morning’s episode (August 9) with Mollen, his guest co-host that day.

While Live with Kelly and Mark will continue to air at its usual time slot, but this week’s episodes will again be pre-recorded.

Why is Live with Kelly and Mark Broadcast of already recorded episodes?

According to a production source Live family is on their annual summer vacation. This means that their new episodes, which still feature fresh and entertaining never-before-seen content, also include previously aired celebrity interviews. So even though the episodes were pre-recorded, they are not technically reruns.
