Harry Potter fans have high expectations for the new game

We don’t want to say that Harry Potter fans will be disappointed, but there is certainly a risk of that happening.

With more Harry Potter games on the way, it’s understandable that fans are debating what features they would like to see.

This is even more true in connection with Hogwarts LegacyS Consequence.

With the live service seemingly confirmed and the future of the franchise looking more uncertain by the day, are fans still in for a disappointment?

The biggest change players want is for Warner Bros. to allow them to explore the lake.

“Not just diving, but actually diving into the lake (think Goblet of Fire),” ajofarkham91 shared, sparking the Reddit discussion.

Speaking of new games, have you seen the Harry Potter: Quidditch Master Trailer?

Shortly thereafter, several other fans agreed that the lake was a “big miss target” and that exploration should be included in the next game.

User Potato7177 wants the abolished companion system to finally come into effect Hogwarts Legacy 2.

Another popular suggestion was to make the spells more complex.

“I think it would have been cool if you took a class to learn a magic spell and found out on the first day that not only is the spell unreliable, but it backfires and has unintended effects,” commented BippNasty541.

It would be fun for fans to try to master such a detailed progression system, but it would be more difficult to implement.

But a more comprehensive exploration of the castle as well as more variety and finesse in the story’s subplots seem more than feasible.

That is what one would hope, at least.

Although fans are still finding hidden rooms after more than a year, the secrets are not piling up as quickly as in other titles, such as Red Dead Redemption 2For example.

Players want better replay value, something that will keep them coming back.

This can be achieved in many ways in the sequel, but it is up to the developers to implement the much-needed changes.

At the moment, we are not sure whether the sequel can fulfill all these expectations.
