Minecraft: 14 rarest biomes

Minecraft has several interesting biomes that could appear in your world, but some are rarer than others.

That doesn’t mean it’s impossible to build a house in this biome. While there are unique difficulties to building in a jungle, that also means there are unique opportunities to build an amazing building in a jungle that you can’t build anywhere else.

8 A piece of tree house

A house in a Minecraft jungle, built mostly out of wood, with some bushes along the roof and hanging down the sides.

This is a build that uses an extremely limited palette, but makes the most of that palette. Built around one of the incredibly tall trees in the jungle biome, it’s tall enough to give you a nice view without necessarily towering over the rest of the jungle.

It’s made almost entirely of wood and has a surprisingly cozy feel inside for a house that’s so unconventional in many ways. It’s one of the easier survival builds to start with early in the game. However, it’s also a build that’s very easy to expand as you progress in your survival world, either up to other trees or higher up a tree that you might want to extend a little.

7 The top-heavy tree house

A treehouse in Minecraft that is wider at the top to make room for a room with large windows.

This artificial treehouse doesn’t necessarily have to end up in a jungle, but would fit well in one, especially if the oak wood was replaced with jungle wood. This is a very vertical building that goes well with the jungle trees.

This building also has a really interesting layout that expands out at the very top, and there are some more interesting elements on the sides as well on the way up. Overall it has a very Keebler-elven feel to it and would be really fun to come home to after an adventure.

6 The spacious tree house

A treehouse built in Minecraft with various rooms built onto the sides and vines hanging from the ceiling.

This is one of the more spacious treehouse builds and promises not to feel claustrophobic inside. There are several rooms branching off to the sides that have a balcony at the top, so this treehouse doesn’t feel entirely vertical.

That’s not to say it’s not tall; it will fit right in with the other jungle trees in the area. And this is another structure that could be expanded quite easily. You could build bridges that branch off to other trees, so you could have something that feels like an Ewok village spread out over part of the jungle.

5 The flat top

A house built in a Minecraft jungle with flat roofs and square windows, as well as a farm and chests at the front.

This is one of the jungle house designs that is not a tree house, but is still made primarily of trees. However, aside from wood, this build also contains quite a bit of stone material, creating a palette with good contrast.

This building also makes great use of the outdoor space, which is not always typical for a jungle building. If this building was on the ground, the jungle trees surrounding it could cast interesting shadows on this building during the day and frame the moon through the treetops in an interesting way at night.

4 House made of sanded wood

A Minecraft jungle house built from sanded logs and boards with small plants on the outside and a fire pit on top.

Another house that sits firmly on the ground rather than growing up a tree. This build uses an unusual amount of wood, giving it a unique look as the wooden boards make up the darker part of the palette rather than the lighter.

With a cool fireplace, interesting windows, and a very small space, this build manages to feel very cozy without feeling like the walls are closing in. The smaller interior also puts more emphasis on the outdoors, allowing you to spend more time in the jungle and enjoy it more.

3 The square style

A large Minecraft jungle house lit by torches at night, with lots of square shapes and a light wooden path through some bushes leading to the front door.

A very sharp-edged build that uses a lot of angular 90-degree angles. This build uses a mix of different types of wood, creating a palette that balances light and dark colors very well. It also manages to add a touch of green on the outside, which helps to blend the rest of the palette together nicely.

This is one of the larger jungle buildings here, with quite a bit of space inside. There are plenty of wide windows around the building, so even though the building is big enough to spend quite a bit of time inside, you can still enjoy the jungle outside thanks to the windows.

2 Very vertical tree house

An extremely tall treehouse in a Minecraft jungle, with two buildings built around the base near the middle and the top.

This incredibly tall jungle treehouse really does look like someone wrapped several houses around a tree in the best way possible. Again, made primarily from wood and a healthy dose of greenery, this building makes unique use of the jungle tree vines as access to the actual house.

Because of the height and the open nature of many walls, this structure feels very open, even in a not particularly spacious interior. This structure is especially cool when it rains, as the rain hits your house, but otherwise the rain falls past, down to the trees or the ground below.

1 The spacious tree house

A Minecraft jungle treehouse built around a giant tree with multiple rooms laid out around the whole thing.

This is a really beautiful treehouse, especially at night when it’s lit up by the lanterns on the outside. This is another treehouse that is quite tall, probably towering over many of the other jungle trees in the area.

This building also has many different rooms around the tree, creating unique areas that all have a different feel and purpose. It combines aesthetics with functionality very well and makes the jungle around it look better with its presence.
