Our mission is one that many people care about: to give wildlife a second chance when our interactions go wrong. We all love seeing wildlife running around in our front yard or on the road in front of us. We all hate it when things go wrong, and trying to help when possible is part of our good nature.

Jack is a bit shy

Belmont, NY-based Life on the Wild Side helps provide assistance at intersections where there is a traffic accident, a bunny in the yard or a baby squirrel brought in by the cat.

In order to provide this help, they rely on the financial support of the general public who love wild animals and want to see these animals released from life-threatening situations back into the wild in a healthy state.

Janet and Chrissy

This group of young opossums is currently under the care of Life on the Wild Side following a tragedy at a young age. Until they are old enough to survive in the wild, Madison Reed and her team care for them and prepare them for release.

The work is wonderful, the results are miraculous, but it is not free.
