Bryan Danielson names “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)” by Green Day as the song he would have liked to have played at his funeral

Bryan Danielson gives a random answer to one of Green Day’s most popular songs.

In a recent interview with Kerrang, Bryan Danielson named Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” as one of the songs he wants to play at his funeral. Ironically, AEW just announced that Bryan, whose full-time wrestling career is coming to an end, perhaps as early as AEW All In on August 25, will perform the song in a career-retrospective video package during AEW Dynamite on August 14.

Although his life is not ending anytime soon and he might even prefer to hear a song by Kimya Dawson, he has now suggested that Green Day would be a suitable alternative.

“That’s really hard. I like Time Of Your Life, that’s not bad. If I had more time to think about it, maybe it would be a Kimya Dawson or Frank Turner song, but I’d have to really think about it. I’d probably have to think about it now in case something happens, right? My wife would ask: ‘Why are we playing Green Day at Bryan’s funeral?’ ‘He said it in an interview!’ (laughs)”

Danielson also called AFI’s Miseria Cantare, CM Punk’s theme song at ROH, the perfect entrance song. Learn more here.

Bryan has already stated that it will be easier to look at his life without wrestling in the near future. Read his comments here.

Speaking of Kimya Dawson, Danielson was featured on a Dawson song in 2011 that paid tribute to Captain Lou Albano. Listen to the song here.
