Incredible Overwatch 2 clip shows epic 3v5 overtime clutch

Highlights

  • A clip from Overwatch 2 shows an exciting 3v5 overtime match that highlights the strategic role dynamics in the matches.
  • The Reinhardt player in the clip demonstrates his skills in defeating multiple opponents through coordination and role knowledge.

A Overwatch2 player shared an epic clip of a 3v5 overtime that easily could have ended differently. Many Overwatch2 Games end in intense overtime battles, but this might be one of the most impressive.

When Overwatch2 was released, it changed the 6v6 team composition of its predecessor to a 5v5 team composition. Although it faced some resistance, the intense gameplay in standard and competitive matches remained. Similar to the original game, Overwatch2 has a role queue that ensures both teams include a tank, two damage dealers, and two support heroes. While this prevents players from running multiple tanks, it results in improved team dynamics as no key roles are missing. One player shared his experience when he tanked five enemies in a close overtime match with only two allies to assist him.

An Overwatch fan points out an obvious flaw in Tracer’s Overwatch 2 skins with a video comparing the original design to the sequel version.

Reddit user Maxkhor95 recently shared a Overwatch2 Clip from Hollywood where they defend the capture point while time runs out. The video starts with two Reinhardts charging at each other, resulting in a double stun. The player then defeats the opposing Reinhardt with two standard attacks and a fire blast before moving on to Brigitte with Rally. Brigitte hits Reinhardt back with Shield Bash and swings her flails before the tank knocks her into a wall. Reinhardt then uses Earthshatter on an Ana and is quickly Life Gripped by Lifeweaver, who had fought off a Hanzo. The Overwatch2 The Damage Hero is quickly defeated and the clip ends with Reinhardt showing emotion after attacking the last enemy on the top, claiming victory.

Although the game time had expired in the first moments of Maxkhor95’s clip, the attacking players kept the overtime clock running by staying at the capture point. Overwatch2Reinhardt is in top form, having only managed one kill in the video. They likely scored a few eliminations before the match even began. Had the five players successfully fended off the three defenders, they would have initiated the payload escort portion of the match. Since the defenders were successful, this match only lasted a little over five minutes, as opposed to the 15 minutes it would have taken to escort the payload. Although the three players were at a disadvantage against five opponents, their coordination and success in performing their roles led to this impressive victory.

As Blizzard continues to update Overwatch2the heroes in this clip may be nerfed or buffed in a future patch. With character balance remaining a priority, this win could have been a loss if the underlying stats were just slightly different.
