Anna Leverett is home to attend her father’s retirement party and counts the days until she can leave. She’s tired of being reminded that her life was full of wrong turns and dead ends. Then a meeting with her former best friend Helen raises unexpected questions about her past: What really happened at that high school New Year’s Eve party? How true were all those ugly rumors? With Helen by her side, Anna can finally confront her past and set a course for a better future.

Through rape culture, beauty myths and the dangers women face in a society that stigmatizes them simply because they are female, Other maps shows a path to courage, solidarity and hope. (By Linda Leith Publishing)
