Devin Booker and Kevin Durant of the Suns caused a sensation after winning gold in Paris

After winning the gold medal with the US team, the Phoenix Suns’ star duo Kevin Durant and Devin Booker found time to celebrate. Pictures of Durant and Booker relaxing on a yacht in Saint-Tropez, France, after a grueling Olympic campaign went viral on social media. The Phoenix teammates were seen sunbathing in several pictures that surfaced online.

The two basketball stars thrilled millions of basketball fans around the world with their play at the 2024 Olympic Games. Booker and Durant were instrumental in the US team winning its 17th gold medal at the quadrennial competition and its fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Durant, 35, became the first U.S. male player to win four Olympic medals. The former NBA MVP, who missed five tryouts with a calf strain, made an immediate impact after returning to action in the U.S. team’s first game of the Paris Olympics.

The two-time NBA champion was there in crucial moments, made great plays and took the pressure off his teammates. The Suns superstar averaged 13.8 points on 54% shooting from the field, including 51.9% from 3-point range. Overall, Durant made 27 of 50 shots, including 14 of 27 from beyond the three-point line.

Booker, on the other hand, was the unsung hero of the US team’s Olympic victory. The 27-year-old was exceptional on defense and showed his ability to sink shots under pressure.

The Phoenix guard averaged 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in six games. The four-time NBA All-Star made 56.8% of his shots from the field, including 56.5% from 3-point range. Overall, Booker made 25 of his 44 shots from the field, including 13 of his 23 three-pointers.

Next NBA season, Suns fans will be hoping that Durant and Booker will make a splash from the three-point line rather than from the edge of the pool. But with former NBA champion Mike Budenholzer now coaching the team, it should be easier to make a splash on offense next season.

Phoenix has three of the NBA’s best shooters in Durant, Booker and Bradley Beal, which should be enough to tear opposing teams apart on most nights. However, the lack of a true point guard hurt the Suns last season. Fortunately, after signing Tyus Jones and Monte Morris, the Suns may have enough players on their roster to win the franchise’s first NBA title.

While Phoenix fans knew that regular season success meant nothing in some cases, the Suns could have been in a much more manageable position with 50+ regular season wins – and with the new coach and a pool of top-tier talent, that could be a real possibility. Phoenix should be able to compete for an NBA title this year and rally the Valley around them.
