The seventh annual Wands and Wizards Weekend enchants the Fairfield County countryside with Harry Potter-themed spells and fun.

Festivities run August 8-10 and include live performances, scavenger hunts, workshops and more. Activities take place in various Fairfield communities, including Pickerington and Lancaster.

Local companies will also participate and open their doors for Magicians of all ages. Locations like True North Coffee and Cafe and L–City Coffee offer their own “potions” and “wizard brews,” and others like the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio offer wand-making workshops.

Other hands-on experiences such as glass blowing, arts and crafts and trivia games are offered throughout the weekend. Towards the end of the three-day festivities, there is a Wizarding Festival with Renaissance-style entertainment, games and more.

Although the event is free to the public, certain workshops have limited spaces and require registration. Overnight and weekend packages are also available for purchase, which include items such as hotel accommodations, gift certificates, and magician equipment.
