Take a look behind the scenes at Squid Game, opening in NYC this fall

If you’ve ever wondered how you would fare in one of the challenging challenges that make up the hit Netflix series Squid Gameyou may want to start preparing: An exciting, immersive experience based on the series will officially premiere on October 11 at the Manhattan Mall at 100 West 33rd Street at Sixth Avenue and will remain open for a limited time, according to an official press release.

Tickets for Squid Game: The Experience will officially go on sale here on August 21 at 10 a.m. You can join the waitlist to be notified when passes become available.

Inside, people can form teams of up to 24 people each to take part in 60 minutes of active gameplay that includes challenges featured on the TV show (yes, you can attempt the iconic “Red Light, Green Light”), as well as a series of brand new challenges designed specifically for this experience.

The entire space will also resemble the Netflix hit. “Wherever you look, iconic environments, re-enactments and familiar characters make you question your own reality,” says a press release.

After playing, guests can satisfy their hunger at the on-site night market, which offers a variety of Korean and international sweet and savory foods and beverages. You may also want to visit the Squid Mart merchandise shop to purchase exclusive collectibles, clothing, games, and take advantage of unique photo opportunities.

Consider the whole experience as a deep dive into the Squid Game World is about to debut its second season, which is set to hit Netflix on December 26th.

It is clear that the trend towards immersive experiences is not going away anytime soon.
