SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Jun miss the boy band’s upcoming world tour

SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Jun will not participate in the group’s upcoming “Right Here” world tour in 2024.

Yesterday (August 12), Pledis Entertainment announced in a statement on Weverse that SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Jun will be absent from several activities in the second half of 2024, including their “Right Here” world tour, due to other commitments.

Jeonghan will “fulfill his military obligation in the second half of 2024,” the agency said, saying the singer has “already filmed as much content as possible in advance.” Despite this, the K-pop star will not be joining the group on their upcoming world tour and promotional activities for their upcoming 12th mini album.

Pledis Entertainment added that the singer “will still have the opportunity to meet (fans) at the previously announced fan signing and at Lollapalooza Berlin.” Details about Jeonghan’s upcoming enlistment will be announced at a later date.

Meanwhile, Chinese member Jun will “be active as an actor and in other fields in China in the second half of this year,” a decision the agency said was made after “thorough discussions with Jun and the other members of SEVENTEEN.”

Due to scheduling conflicts, the K-pop singer will not be present at the boy band’s world tour, the promotion of their 12th mini album, and the performance at Lollapalooza Berlin. However, like Jeonghan, he has also filmed material for the group’s activities in advance.

“Jun is committed to participating in SEVENTEEN’s group activities, and although he cannot participate in the world tour, he will attend CARATs-related dates as often as possible,” the K-pop agency added.

In other SEVENTEEN news, the group’s singer and producer Woozi recently denied claims of BBC that the group used artificial intelligence (AI) when writing their music.
