Former eBay CFO Vaishali Cooper joins Jungle Ventures

In addition, former Google employee Menka Sajnani was appointed director of corporate development and former eBay financial controller James Lin was appointed chief financial officer.

South Asia-focused early-stage VC fund Jungle Ventures has appointed Vaishali Cooper, former CFO of e-commerce giant eBay and Komli Media, to the same position.

The fund also brought Menka Sajnani on board as director of corporate development, while former eBay financial controller James Lin joined as chief financial officer.

As CFO, Cooper will be part of the Jungle management team and will oversee the fund’s finance, accounting, tax and compliance functions. At the fund level, she and her team will be responsible for maintaining all compliance, regulatory and financial reporting across Jungle’s various funds. At the portfolio level, she will monitor investee company performance and provide operational support as needed.

As Director of Corporate Development, Sajnani will be responsible for building corporate, strategic and investor relations for both Jungle and its portfolio companies. Most recently, she was Regional Manager in Google’s New Business Team (Southeast Asia). Prior to that, she spent seven years at HQ Capital, where she was primarily responsible for investments in private equity and VC funds with a focus on Southeast Asia and India.

Lin will be responsible for portfolio financial reporting, LP reporting, due diligence on new investments and operational support to portfolio companies in terms of process improvements and accounting.

Jungle has continuously strengthened its team and last year added Ratan Tata as Senior Advisor and David Gowdey from TPG Growth and Yahoo! as Managing Partner.
